Virtual Energy Audit - Automation
The VEA can be integrated into a plant's PLC or DCS as long as there exists an Excel interface. Using a "Watchdog" timer and an executing macro, the PLC/DCS will feed inputs to the VEA to produce whole plant results, including fuel consumed, efficiency, excess air results, and emissions along with a record of the systems within.
The outputs from the VEA may be entered into a data log for trend analysis to highlight "hotspots" or errant operations.
